10 STEPS TO FOLLOW AFTER YOU ARE IN AN ACCIDENT

1

notify insurance

Notify your insurance company of the accident or damage that occurred to your vehicle. At this time, you should be given a claim number. This number will help expedite your repair process so be sure to keep it in a convenient spot.

2

get estimate

Stop in to get an estimate on your vehicle. Your insurance company may recommend that you get multiple estimates. XA Collision offers free computerized estimates - most take 10-15 minutes.

3

insurance appraisal

The insurance company will send out an appraiser to estimate the damage to your vehicle. Insurance estimates can be arranged to take place at our shop. Simply notify your insurance company where the vehicle will be located.

4

insurance estimate

The insurance company will send you an estimate from the appraiser. If you have already chosen XA Collision as your repair shop of choice, they will email it to us.

5

check issued

Once you decide to go ahead with the repairs, the insurance company will issue a check for the repairs minus your deductible. The deductible is the amount you are responsible for paying based on your insurance policy.

6

choose repair shop

Choose your repair shop, if you haven't already. The insurance company may try to steer you to one of the companies on their list, however, this is illegal. It is your vehicle and you may choose who repairs it. XA Collision is a state-certified repair facility with certified technicians.

7

schedule repair

Call us to schedule your repair. We will put you on our schedule and order parts for your repair. We can also estimate the number of days your vehicle will be at our shop.

8

drop off

Drop off your vehicle at our shop. We do have a drop-box for before/after hours for your convenience.

9

supplement

If there are additional parts or repairs needed that relate to the damage and were missed on the estimate, we will work directly with your insurance company to get those covered.

finished

We will notify you as soon as the repairs on your vehicle have been completed. We do require payment in full before the vehicle is released.

If you have any questions or concerns at any point in the repair process, please feel free to contact us.
The customer is our main priority and we want your experience at XA Collision to be satisfactory.
